Marc Bazell was a KFXM news reporter and news director from January of 1978 through October of 1980.
Prior to his KFXM years, Marc was with K/men, WCVS (Springfield, IL), WJVL & WCLO-FM (Janesville, WI) and several other Illinois and Wisconsin stations dating back to 1970. After KFXM, Bill could be found at KPRO in Riverside.
Marc says, “After living down at the beach for a couple years (1980-83) and working in the aerospace industry, I moved back to the Inland Empire to accept a flying job with a charter outfit. I was hired as a B-747 Captain flying air cargo overseas. The company went into Chapter 11 and I was furloughed. I then got the itch to go back into radio, as the flying was not steady work. I found a steady job at KPRO Riverside until the station got sold. I haven’t gone back into radio since. Maybe I should try again… who knows?” He is currently with the FAA Riverside Flight Service Station as ATC Specialist.
Born in Chicago on July 6th, Marc served in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980, then in the Air Force Reserve until 1987. He was in Public Relations for the United States Air Forces in the Defense Information Service Academy for the Armed Forces.
